Working at Heights Refresher

A program that requires completion by those who wish to remain Working at Heights certified.
This program reviews the OHSA and related regulations that pertain to Working at Heights and other related topics.

 

Elevated Work Platform

This program is for those who work with or need to be aware of procedures relating to elevated work platforms. It covers topics such as: Types of Elevated Work Platforms, Hazard Prevention, Inspections, and Safe Operating Procedures.

Forklift

This program is for those who work with or need to be aware of procedures relating to forklift/lift trucks. It covers topics such as: Stability, Inspections, Load Handling, Legislation, and Workplace-Specific Procedures.

Investigations

Workplace Violence & Harassment Investigations: Get ahead of the MOL! The Ministry of Labour now has the power to order third-party investigations into incidents.

Health & Safety Investigations: Accident, Injury/Incidents related to workplace injuries.

 

JHSC Certification Refresher

This program must be taken three years after the completion of part 2, and every three years thereafter to maintain certification. Topics include review of key concepts from Part One and Part Two Training, updates to legislation, standards, codes of practice and occupational health and safety best practices; and an opportunity for certified members to share and discuss best practices.

Noise

This program is in line with Ontario’s Noise Regulation (O. Reg 381/15) that came into force July 2016. The new noise regulation prescribes for workers exposed to noise, a maximum time-weighted exposure limit of 85 decibels over an 8-hour work shift, and other requirements.

Propane

We can provide training on the following:

400-01 Temporary Propane Heaters up to 400,000 BTU’s (Construction Heaters)

400-05 Propane Fuelled Hot Tar or Bitumen Roadtankers and Kettles)

400-06 Propane Cylinder Exchange

 

Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness

This program is designed to provide knowledge towards the competency of Supervisors. It includes topics such as: The OHS Act & Regulations, Roles of WSIB/MOL, Due Diligence, Work Refusal, Hazard Analysis, Investigations and Reporting.

WHMIS 2015

This program is for those who work with or need to be aware of working with hazardous materials or chemicals. It covers topics such as: Classification, Enforcement, Safety Data Sheets, Routes of Entry, and Health Effects.

Worker Health & Safety Awareness

This program is designed to provide workers with knowledge on topics such as: Duties of Workplace parties, Hazard Analysis, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Enforcement/Penalties, and Preventive Maintenance.

 
 

Workplace Violence & Harassment – Supervisor

This program covers topics such as Bill 168 (2010) and Bill 132 (2016) and definitions of workplace violence/harassment as well as the role and responsibilities of a supervisor in policy, programs, and incidents. With the recent surge in attention towards workplace violence and harassment, it is important to ensure supervisors are aware of their rights and responsibilities.

This program covers topics such as Bill 168 and definitions of workplace violence/harassment as well as the rights and responsibilities of the worker. With the recent surge in attention towards workplace violence and harassment, it is important to ensure workers are aware of their rights and the role of all workplace parties.
